51 22 180 Removing and installing/replacing cover on outside door handle (X6 2015-2019)

Lever out trim (1) and release screw underneath (2).

Installation note: 

Replace faulty cover (1).

Pull off cover (1) with outer door handle (2) opened slightly.

Installation note: 

Ensure gasket (1) is seated correctly.

Installation note: 

Latch mechanisms (1) of cover (2) must not be damaged.

Replacement: 

Remove cover (2) from retaining plate (3).
