Removing and refitting/replacing bumper trim lower section (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Release latch mechanisms (1) and carefully remove air duct (2).

NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.

Release the expanding rivets on the side of the lower section of the bumper panel (2) left/right.

Release latch mechanisms (1) on rear of bumper panel.

Remove bumper panel lower section (2).

Installation:

When replacing with X-Line version:

NOTE: Catches (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Attach the bumper panel lower section (2).

Engage the bumper panel lower section (2) in the latch mechanisms (1).

Mount the expanding rivets to the bumper panel lower section (2) on the left/right side.
