63 31 255 Removing and installing/replacing optical fibre in left (or right) rear door trim (X6 2015-2019)
Special tools required:
- 00 9 325
Necessary preliminary tasks:
When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).
When working on trim panel components, make sure that sensitive surfaces are not contaminated.
Removal:
Release light bar (1) with special tool 00 9 325 from the rear starting from the latch mechanism.
NOTE:
First release the upper latch mechanisms.
Installation note:
The retaining lugs on the design trim (1) must not be damaged or missing.
Installation:
First push forward light bar (1) into the holder (2).
Clip in light bar (2) from the front beginning in the holder.
Installation note:
Clip in the light strip first down and then up on the holder.
