Removing and installing/replacing DSC hydraulic unit (X6 M)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read and comply with GENERAL INFORMATION .
- EXTRACT BRAKE FLUID
NOTE:
Extract brake fluid out of expansion tank. Use a suction bottle used exclusively for drawing off brake fluid.
Do not reuse drawn out brake fluid.
Do not reuse drawn out brake fluid.
After completing work:
Attention!
Do not mix up brake lines.
If necessary, mark before removal.
Brake lines must not be bent.
Close off connecting bores with seal plugs.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unfasten brake lines (2).
Tightening torque 34 32 1AZ .
If necessary, release brake lines from holder on bulkhead.
Release screw (3).
Tightening torque 34 51 6AZ .
Pull hydraulic unit with holder out of guide pins and remove.
When replacing the hydraulic unit:
Loosen screw (1) and remount holder (2).
Installation note:
Tightening torque 34 51 5AZ .
When replacing the hydraulic unit:
- ENCODE/PROGRAM CONTROL UNIT(S)
- Adjustment of steering angle sensor
- Brake line mix-up test:
