61 31 996 Carrying out steering angle sensor adjustment
IMPORTANT:
In vehicles with active steering, steering angle sensor adjustment is integrated in the service function "INITIAL OPERATION/ADJUSTMENT FOR ACTIVE STEERING " and must not be carried out separately!
On vehicles with EPS steering, steering angle sensor calibration is incorporated in the service function "LEARN SOFTWARE LIMIT STOPS" and cannot be carried out separately.
On vehicles with EPS steering, steering angle sensor calibration is incorporated in the service function "LEARN SOFTWARE LIMIT STOPS" and cannot be carried out separately.
NOTE:
Steering angle sensor calibration must be carried out:
- After replacing the following components:
- STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (only replaceable on vehicles with hydraulic power steering/active steering)
Connect vehicle to diagnosis system.
Select and carry out steering angle sensor adjustment under Service functions.
