13 54 030 Removing and installing/sealing throttle body (N57 D30 O/T 1)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES ON PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition.
Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
Remove left PRESSURE PIPE .

Release screw (1).

Partially loosen acoustic cover on the front (2).

Unlock connector (1) and remove.

Release cable (2) from the clamps.

Release screws (3) on throttle valve assembly.

Tightening torque 13 54 1AZ .

Feed throttle bodies out at the side until the connector on the intake air temperature sensor is accessible.

Installation note:

Replace gasket at mixing tube for intake air.

Unlock connector (1) and remove from intake air temperature sensor. Remove throttle valve assembly.

NOTE: When replacing throttle body, swap over the charge air pipe (2). Release clamps (1) and remove charge air pipe (2) from the throttle body (3).
Replace gasket.

Installation note:

Check stored fault message.

Clear diagnostic fault entries from fault memory.
