11 78 610 Replacing monitoring sensor (PHEV)

Special tools required: 

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life
WARNING: Risk of burning! 
Work should only be carried out on an exhaust system that has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Release monitoring sensor (1) with special tool 11 7 030.

Installation: 

Installation note: 

New monitoring sensors are already coated with NEVER-SEEZ COMPOUND 4.3 at the thread.

If a monitoring sensor is to be reused, apply a thin and even coating of NEVER-SEEZ compound to the thread only.

Sensor ceramics must not  be cleaned and not  be coated with lubricant.

Tighten monitoring sensor (1) with special tool 11 7 030.

Tightening torque 11 78 2AZ .
