51 71 412 Removing and installing/replacing rear spoiler

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Unlock hose pipe (2) and disconnect.

Press grommets (3) through to the outside.

Installation note:

Make sure grommets (3) are correctly seated.

Lever out sealing plugs (1) and unscrew nuts underneath.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Tightening torque 51 71 1AZ .

Detach rear spoiler (1) in upward direction from clips (2).

Feed out associated wiring looms and remove rear spoiler (1).

Installation note:

Replace faulty clips (2).

On both sides, make sure seal of trim (3) is correctly seated on rear spoiler (1).

Seal should rest against rear spoiler (1) and must not be trapped.

Installation note:

The seal (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Always fit studs (2) together with sealing washer.
