63 12 870 Replacing ignition device for left xenon headlight (with xenon bulb)

WARNING: Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage! Before removing, disconnect all components from the voltage supply (lighting system and ignition off).
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition device, control unit and bulb) may only be carried out by qualified personnel.

IMPORTANT: Ignition device and xenon bulb are viewed as a single component and must not be separated.

Twist protective cap (1) in the direction of the arrow and remove from headlight (2).

Installation note:

Make sure the gasket is correctly installed on the protective cap (1).

Make sure protective cap (1) is correctly engaged on headlight (2).

Comply with INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING THE PROTECTIVE CAP .

Disconnect connector (1).

Twist ignition device for xenon headlight (2) by approx. 30° in counter-clockwise direction and pull it off the headlight (3).

Installation note:

Make sure inner ring is correctly positioned in ignition device for xenon headlights (2).

Recommendation:

Check HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT , correct if necessary.
