51 47 440 Removing and installing or replacing rear carpet on seat pan
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove FRONT SEATS .
- Remove AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT .
- Remove all door sill cover strips. See REMOVING FRONT (INSIDE) DOOR SILL COVER STRIPS and REMOVING REAR (INSIDE) DOOR SILL COVER STRIPS .
- Remove rear seat. See REMOVING REAR SEAT (COMFORT SEAT) or REMOVING REAR SEAT WITH THROUGH-LOADING FACILITY .
- Remove the REAR PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AIR DUCT .
- Remove FOOTWELL LIGHTS (on rear floor trim).
- Remove bottom left and right TRIM AT C-PILLAR .
Version with bass speaker:
- Remove CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER TRIM on left/right.
Feel out all cables with cable clip and lay back.
Remove carpet (1).
Installation note:
Make sure openings for air duct and attachment points are correctly positioned.
