11 71 501 Removing and installing/replacing the exhaust-gas recirculation valve (EGR) (N57)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release screw (1).

Lay mounting plate (2) for pressure converter to one side.

Release screws (1).

Remove cable channel (2) from the cylinder head cover. To do this unlock and detach connectors (3) and (4).

Slide cable channel to one side.

Release screws (1).

Partially release coolant pipe (2) and lay to one side.

Release screws (1) on exhaust-gas recirculation valve (3).

Release coolant lines (2 and 4).

Disconnect plug connection on exhaust-gas recirculation valve (3).

Installation note:

Replace O-ring.

Assemble engine.

Add coolant.

Check function of Digital Diesel Electronics.
