Removing and installing/replacing lock for tailgate upper section (X5 M)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER FOR LOADING SILL .

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Disconnect Bowden cable (2).

Slacken screws (3) from outside.

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Remove lock.

Installation note: 

Make sure the Bowden cable (2) is fitted correctly.

Replacement: 

Remount Bowden cable (1).
