11 61 050 Removing and installing intake plenum (N52T)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove IGNITION COIL COVER .
- Remove left TRAILING LINK .
- Remove EXPANSION TANK .
- Remove SUCTION FILTER HOUSING .
- Remove THROTTLE BODY .
- Remove ENGINE CONTROL UNIT from intake plenum.
- Remove PARTITION WALL in center of units compartment.
- Unclip cable from holder on intake plenum.
- Detach oil reservoir for hydraulic steering and place to one side.
Open holder (2).
Disconnect plug connection (1) under of intake plenum.
Release engine ventilation from cylinder head cover.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Disconnect plug connection (3).
Release screws (4).
Detach engine wiring harness (2) from intake plenum and lay to one side.
For purposes of clarity, graphic shows intake plenum removed (E92).
Disconnect plug connection (1) on oil pressure switch (2).
Release fuel injection pipe (2) and lay to one side.
NOTE:
Do not detach fuel line.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ .
Unscrew nuts (3).
Tightening torque: 11 61 2AZ .
Graphic (E92).
Raise intake plenum approx. 10 cm.
Disconnect plug connections (1) at bottom.
Installation note:
Replace all gaskets.
Top up COOLANT .
Assemble engine.
