11 53 000 Removing and installing or replacing coolant thermostat (N47 D20 O1)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect coolant hoses on thermostat.

Release screws (1) on thermostat housing.

Remove thermostat housing (2).

Installation note: 

Replace gasket.

Assemble engine.

Fill  . See 17 00 039 VENTING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM WITH VACUUM FILLING UNIT or 17 00 008 DRAINING AND TOPPING UP COOLANT (N20, N55, N52T, N47 D20 O 1, N57 D30 O/T 1, B47) and bleed cooling system.
