Removing and installing/replacing weatherstrip on inner front door (M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
The instructions on INSTALLATION OF WINDOW GUIDES serve as the basis for this repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
If weather strip is reused, make sure it is not bent.

Detach weather strip (1) from front door in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

If necessary, remove clamps from weather strip and attach to door.

Replace faulty clamps.

Installation note:

Shaped part (1) and retaining elements (2) of weather strip (3) must not be damaged.

Shaped part (1) must be correctly threaded into the door.

Moisten weatherstrip (3) before installation with APPROVED LUBRICANT .
