51 47 312 Replacing footrest for front vehicle interior

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: Footrest (1) is bonded with carpet along line (2).
Adhesive bead must remain on the carpet (risk of damage).

Preheat footrest (1) with hot air blower and thereby loosen adhesive bead from footrest (1).

If necessary, tension footrest (1) with panel wedge and apply heat to pull off inwards.

Installation note:

Pre-treat the footrest (1) using primer 206.

Apply an adhesive bead (2) with Ø 5 mm to the footrest (1).

Fit footrest (1) to carpet and bond.
