61 13 050 Removing and installing/replacing power distribution box in passenger compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT 
• Detach both battery cables for negative terminal in F03
• Remove RIGHT GLOVE BOX WITH HOUSING

Disconnect plug connection (1) from power distribution box in passenger compartment (3) and junction box electronics.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque: see 1AZ in 61 14 DISTRIBUTION BOX, CURRENT TERMINALS L6 .

Feed out power distribution box in passenger compartment (3) from retaining clips (4) in direction of arrow.

UNLOCK AND DISCONNECT PLUG CONNECTIONS  behind.

Replacement: 

• Modify JUNCTION BOX ELECTRONICS 
• Modify fuses
