Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the adaptation values of the exhaust camshaft.

The fault is detected when the adaptation values deviate by more than 20° crankshaft angle or 10° camshaft angle.

Possible fault cause:

• Incorrect timing
• VANOS maladjusted or sticking
