Removing the headlining (with panorama glass roof)

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Precondition
The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the rear bottom.
The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) to (3).
- Loosen the wiring harness (4) at the associated cable clips and feed it back.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen the headlining at the clips (2).
- Unclip panel down (1) from the clips (2) and remove it.
- Loosen the headlining (1) at the clips (2).NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Fold the headlining.
Bending of the headlining can result in the need for the headlining to be replaced.- Carry out tasks with a second person to assist.
- Support the headlining at the front and back.
- Release the headlining (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) from the clips (2).
- Thread the headlining (1) out of the edge protection and put aside in the vehicle.
- Tilt the headlining in the vehicle and remove it through the left rear door.
Bend the headlining slightly to remove it in the area around the C-pillar.
