Remove the tension spring for the trunk lid on the left
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.
Injury hazard!

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE STORAGE TRAY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE STORAGE TRAY FOR THE COMPACT SPARE WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON LEFT .
- Push on clamp with screwdriver in the direction of the groove.
- Lift off ball socket from ball hub.
- Push back the clamp.
- Remove tension spring (1).
