Removing the wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 1 to 4
Precondition
- Ignition is switched off.

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Screw all screw points of the cable ducts on again. Some of the screw points are also grounding points.

- Unlock the locks (1) .
- Remove cover (2)

- Unlock all connectors (1)
and detach from DME control unit.
- Detach all cables (1)
from the DME control unit holder.
- Loosen screws (1)

- Unlock and detach all connectors (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) at the pressure sensor on the intake plenum.
- Unlock and detach connector (3) from rail pressure sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (4) at the camshaft position sensor of the intake camshaft.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (5) at the Lambda oxygen sensor and at the monitoring oxygen sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (6) at the tank vent valve.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (7)
at the DME control unit of cylinders 1 to 4.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1) at the camshaft position sensor of the exhaust camshaft.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (2) at the high pressure pump.
- Unlock and detach the connector (3) on the hot film air mass meter.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (4) at the electric controller drive of the wastegate valve.
- Unlock connector (5)
on alternator and detach.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1) at the auxiliary coolant pump.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) from the throttle valve.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (3) at the pressure sensor of the charge air cooler.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (4) at the intake VANOS solenoid valve.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (5)
at the VANOS exhaust solenoid valve.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (6) at the coolant thermostat.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (7) at the coolant pump.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (8) at the coolant temperature sensor.
- Loosen screws (1)

- Unlock and disconnect connector (1) at the crankshaft sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (2) at the solenoid valve.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (3) at the oil pressure sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (4) at the oil level sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (5) at rear of knock sensor.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (6)
at the cable of the temperature sensor for the engine oil temperature and coolant temperature.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (7) at front of knock sensor.
- Release wiring harness section for the sensor system of cylinders 1 to 4 from the clamps, feed out and remove.
