31 11 040 Remove and install/replace stiffening plate (AWD Vehicle)
IMPORTANT:

for raising the vehicle
Driving without stiffening plate is not permissible!

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove underbody protection . See 51 47 490 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING UNDERBODY PROTECTION (FRONT) or 51 47 491 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION at front and rear.
- F12: Remove front stiffening plate.
Release screws (1).
Remove thrust panel (reinforcement plate) (2).
Installation note:
Replace screws (1).
Tightening torque 31 10 2AZ .
