17 11 035 Removing and installing/replacing the fan cowl with electric fan (N63 B40/B44 O 1)

Necessary preliminary work

Disengage the coolant line(1) from the fan cowl.

Release screw (1).

Detach coolant lines from fan cowl.

Unlock the connector (2) from fan cowl and pull it off.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 17 10 3AZ .

Release holder (1) for auxiliary water pumps from fan cowl and module carrier to the top.

Unclip fan cowl (1) at clamps (2) on left and right, thread out in upward direction and remove.

Installation note:

Insert retaining tab (1) at bottom on module carrier.

NOTE: Check stored fault message.
Reassemble the vehicle.
Clear diagnostic fault entries from fault memory.
