41 63 068 Adjusting Soft Top Compartment Lid

The 41 00... BODY GAP DIMENSIONS serve as the basis for adjustment work.

Necessary preliminary tasks :

Connect battery charger.

NOTE: Carry out setting first in the height, then in longitudinal direction and then to the side.

The work sequence starts with closed soft top.

Height setting :

Open rear module.

Slacken nuts and screws (1) - (3) and remove reinforcement.

IMPORTANT: Secure soft top compartment lid against falling out.
Pay attention to space plates (5) between soft top compartment lid and rear module.

Slacken nuts (4). Adjust soft top compartment lid with space plates (5).

Tighten down nuts (4). Tightening torque 41 63 1AZ .

Build reinforcement and install free of stress. Tighten screws and nuts (1) - (3). Tightening torque 41 63 2AZ - 4AZ

NOTE: Pay attention to voltage free installation of reinforcement. The reinforcement must be lie evenly on the soft top compartment lid and on the rear module.

Setting in longitudinal direction and to the side :

Close rear module.

IMPORTANT: Graphic and description on open soft top compartment lid for better overview.
Setting in longitudinal direction and to the side is however done from the luggage compartment when the soft top compartment lid is closed.

Open tailgate.

Slacken screws and nuts (1) to (3).

Slacken nuts (4).

Adjust soft top compartment lid in longitudinal direction and to the side.

Tighten down nuts (4). Tightening torque 41 63 1AZ

Install reinforcement free of voltage. Tighten screws and nuts (1) to (3). Tightening torque 41 63 2AZ - 4AZ

NOTE: Pay attention to voltage free installation of reinforcement. The reinforcement must be lie evenly on the soft top compartment lid and on the rear module.
