NOTE:

Damage to the engine.
The engine may be damaged if it is manually rotated in the wrong direction.

The engine may be damaged if it is manually rotated in the wrong direction.
- Rotate the engine in the correct direction of rotation by hand only: a) Clockwise, facing the vibration damper or b) counterclockwise, facing the chain drive. b) only applies if the rear timing chain is installed.

- Refer to REMOVING CHAIN TENSIONER
Follow-up work:
- Refer to CHECKING CAMSHAFT TIMING (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) or CHECKING CAMSHAFT TIMING (MANUAL TRANSMISSION) .
- Disassemble all special tools
