Action in service

Delete fault memory, perform terminal change and wait for 1 minute. -If the fault persists:

• Visual inspection of throttle valve and air intake duct for dirt contamination.
• Check by manually actuating the throttle valve to ensure that it can move easily across its entire range of travel.
• Completely close throttle valve by hand and measure voltages of both sensors (Sensor 1: 0.5 V +/- tolerance, sensor 2: 4.5 V +/- tolerance). The sum of the signal voltages of the two throttle valve sensors must be 5 V.
• Check wiring harness between DME and electromotive throttle controller.
• Replace the electromotive throttle actuator.
