Action in service

Check to ensure that knock sensor is installed correctly.

Check lines and plug connections between the following components:

• DME.
• Knock sensor.

Check engine for mechanical defects (timing chain, crankshaft drive).

If possible, determine whether low-quality fuel has been used.

Replace knock sensor.
