33 34 070 Removing and installing/renewing integral active steering: Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Lower REAR AXLE SUPPORT .
• REMOVE BOTH TOE LINKS .

Unlock and disconnect plug

connections (1) from steering.

Release screw (2) and remove grounding cable.

Tightening torque: see 4AZ in 33 34 INTEGRAL ACTIVE STEERING

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque: see 2AZ in 33 34 INTEGRAL ACTIVE STEERING

Undo collar bolts (2).

Tightening torque: see 1AZ in 33 34 INTEGRAL ACTIVE STEERING

Installation note: 

Observe assembly sequence in Fig 5 to prevent integral active steering from jamming during installation.

Release bolts (1) and remove Integral Active Steering towards bottom.

Tightening torque: see 3AZ in 33 34 INTEGRAL ACTIVE STEERING

Installation note: 

Observe assembly sequence in Fig 5 to prevent integral active steering from jamming during installation.

Fasten screws and nuts on the Integral Active Steering at the rear axle support.
