51 45 385 Removing and installing/replacing middle decorative strip on dashboard

Special tools required: 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

A hard disk is installed in the Car Information Computer (CIC).

Carry out mechanical work on the CIC and adjacent components with care.

Avoid subjecting the CIC to vibration/shocks.

Necessary preliminary work: 

Unclip decorative strip (2) at marked points with special tool 00 9 317 .

If necessary, replace faulty clamps (1).

Unlock and disconnect plug connections behind decorative strip (2) - for Start/Stop, hazard warning flashers/central locking and lid control.

Remove decorative strip (2).
