61 31 336 Removing and installing/replacing cover for gear selector switch

Necessary preliminary tasks

Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE .
Remove both negative battery cables at F03.
Remove CENTRE CONSOLE COVER .

NOTE: Trim for gear selector switch (2) is secured from version 04/2009 with four screws.

Release screws (1) and raise trim for gear selector switch (2) slightly.

Unlock and disconnect plug connection underneath for EMF switch.

Twist cover for gear selector switch (2) 90° and feed out upwards from the gear selector switch.

Replacement:

Remove SWITCH FOR ELECTROMECHANICAL PARKING BRAKE .
