51 45 180 Removing and installing/replacing instrument panel trim, bottom left

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove LEFT INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM 
• Remove RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM 
• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
• Remove TRIM FOR STORAGE TRAY 

US version only:

• Remove AIRBAG MODULE FOR DRIVER KNEE PROTECTION

Release screws (1) on trim (2) and unclip left trim from steering column.

Carefully disconnect plug connection for ribbon cable on insert slot.

Installation: 

Make sure trim is correctly seated.

Replacement: 

Remove INSERT FOR RADIO CONTROL KEY .
