65 20 055 Removing and installing/replacing aerial base

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove AERIAL ROD
Completely remove left rear POWER WINDOW REGULATOR

Lever out aerial base cover (1) with special tool 00 9 317, lifting upwards, and remove.

Installation:

Retaining lugs on cover (1) must not be damaged.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Press plugs (2) inwards.

Release nut (1) on aerial base (2).

Remove screw connection (2) in upward direction.

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, illustration shows aerial base removed.

Feed out aerial base (1) downwards through body.

Installation:

Sealing lip (2) must be correctly seated on body.
