51 43 030 Removing and installing/replacing cover on front left or right rollover bar

Necessary preliminary tasks

Partially open folding roof
If necessary, remove wind deflector

Insert special tool 00 9 327 in marked area from an angle at rear in direction of arrow A between front (1) and rear covers (2).

By rotating special tool in direction of arrow B, lever cover (1) out of retaining nipple of rear cover (2).

Repeat procedure, as described above.

Now carefully lever front cover (2) out of remaining retaining nipples by hand and remove cover (2).

Installation:

Replace missing or damages fixing grommets (1).

Installation:

Retaining nipples (1) on rear cover (2) must not be damaged. If necessary, replace rear cover (2).
