Necessary preliminary tasks
- Remove WHEEL
- Read and comply with GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Turn off ignition
After completing work: BLEED BRAKING SYSTEM
Press clutch pedal down to floor and secure with pedal support.
This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank and air from entering the system when the brake lines are opened.
Disconnect brake hose from brake line (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque 34 32 1AZ Brake Lines.
Pull off retaining clip (3) so that brake hose can be turned.
Pull off retaining clip (1) so that brake hose can be turned.
Detach brake hose from brake caliper (2).
Installation:
Tightening torque 34 32 3AZ .
Insert brake hose in bracket and screw onto brake pipe.
Disconnect plug connection on parking brake actuator.
Unscrew guide bolts (1).
If necessary, grip at hexagon head (2).
Remove brake caliper (3).
Installation:
Replace guide screws.
Tightening torque 34 21 4AZ Rear Brake.
The PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR must be modified if the brake caliper is replaced.
After installation, observe the following: switch on ignition and, using parking brake operating element, open parking brake once, close once and open again.
