51 71 039 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right wheel arch cover (rear part)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: Work shown on the X5 xDrive 50i by way of example; deviations are possible in other models.

Detach ABS connection box (1).

Release screws (1), nut (2) and expanding rivet (3).

Feed out wheel arch cover.

IMPORTANT: Make sure all covers in wheel arch are correctly seated in relation to each other:
