Removing and refitting (replacing) center console (middle) trim panel (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 325

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Tape over trim panel (1) and center console in working area.

Reach under trim panel (1) from front. Pull trim panel (1) upwards and in so doing detach from front clips (2).

Release trim panel (1) from remaining clips (2) using special tool 00 9 325.

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Installation note: 

Clamps (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Replacement: 

Swap over CONTROLLER (2) .

Swap over CENTER CONSOLE CONTROL PANEL (3) .
