51 49 000 Removing and installing or replacing trim for rear lid

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT
• Remove SWITCH FOR AUTOMATIC REAR LID ACTUATION
• Feed out rear lid emergency release mechanism

Release screws (1).

Open tool box (2), disengage retaining strap and feed out tool box (2).

Release clips (2). (Check for damage, replace if necessary)

Release expanding rivet at marked points.

Remove panel for tailgate (1).
