51 16 001 Removing and refitting (replacing) mirror on left or right front door (07/13 on)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TWEETER

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove cover (4), slightly fold seal (2) aside and release screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 16 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Rubber grommet for plug connection (1) must be correctly seated on door.

Seal (2) must be correctly seated on door trim panel and door.

Remove mirror (1) outwards.

Installation note: 

Run a function check.

Replacement: 

• Change MIRROR GLASS  or replace if necessary
• Modify exterior mirror housing  . See 51 16 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HOUSING ON LEFT OR RIGHT EXTERIOR MIRROR  or 51 16 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HOUSING ON LEFT OR RIGHT EXTERIOR MIRROR  or replace if necessary
