65 50 057 Removing and installing/replacing Central Information Display (CID)

IMPORTANT: READ AND COMPLY WITH NOTES ON PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove CENTRE FRESH AIR GRILLE

NOTE: During replacement of 6, 5" CID for vehicles with OE 606 (Navigation Business) and production date until 03/2015, before replacing CID VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING must be carried out.
Procedure does not apply to vehicles with 6, 5" CID without OE 606 (Navigation Business).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 65 50 1AZ .

Remove CID (2) towards top.

Unlock plug connection and disconnect.

Remove CID (1).

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .

NOTE: During replacement of 6, 5" CID for vehicles without OE 606 (Navigation Business) with production date until 07/2013, Head Unit Basic must be programmed .
