51 44... Remove and install/replace trim for roofliner, front

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

If necessary, open soft top
Remove ROOF SWITCH CLUSTER
Remove both VANITY MIRROR LIGHTS
Remove both SUN VISORS
Remove both trims for front roof pillar

Removal:

Let down edge protection (1) on top left and right.

Release the underlying screw (2) on the trim (3).

Release screw (1).

Feed out trim (2) sideways on the edge protection (3) and remove from rear.

Installation:

NOTE: Holders (1) and guide (2) on the trim (3) may not damaged.

Insert trim (2) and ensure correct fit on the edge protection (1).

Tighten screw (1).

Let down edge protection (1) on top left and right.

Tighten screw (2) beneath it.

NOTE: Ensure correct fit of the edge protection (1) on the trim (3) along the broken line.

Required follow-up work:

Install ROOF SWITCH CLUSTER
Install both VANITY MIRROR LIGHTS
Install both SUN VISORS
Install both trims for front roof pillars
