61 31 041 Removing and installing (replacing) operating element for assistance system

Special tools required:

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .

NOTE: Work shown on the F20 by way of example, deviations in detail are possible in other models.

Carefully release operating element for assistance system (1) from clamps (2) with special tool 00 9 327 .

Disconnect associated plug connection and remove operating element for assistance system (1).

Installation note:

Make sure driver assistance system (1) is correctly seated.

Replacement:

Remove operating element for assistance system (1) by releasing retaining clips (2) from cover (3).

Installation note:

Make sure operating element for assistance system (1) is correctly seated in cover (2).

Guides (1) and clamps (2) on cover (3) must not be damaged or missing.
