• Handle tools and components carefully.

Preprocesses 

1. Detaching the gearshift lever cover 
   • Pull installation frame of gaiter at the sides upwards out of center console.

   Key processes 

2. Removing the operating unit for the center console 
   • Adhere to following procedure:
     1. Reach under front section of operating unit for the center console (1).
     2. Press front latch mechanism in direction of arrow and simultaneously raise operating unit for the center console (1) towards top.
     3. Disconnect associated plug connection and remove operating unit for the center console (1).

3. Installing the operating unit for the center console 
   • Clip in the operating unit for the center console.

   Post processes 

4. Installing the gearshift lever cover 
   • Press the installation frame of gaiter on the sides and position.
