General information 

Key processes 

1. Remove front left or right door handle cover 

   RISK OF DAMAGE 

   Scratches. 

   Tools and sharp-edged components can cause scratches.

   • Protect working area.
   • Handle tools and components carefully.

   Insert special tool 0 490 538 (00 9 321) from below into recess of cover 1.

   Lift out cover 1 with special tool 0 490 538 (00 9 321) at clamps 2.

   Guide out cover 1 downward from retaining hook 3.

2. Installing the front left or right door handle cover 

   RISK OF DAMAGE 

   Scratches. 

   Tools and sharp-edged components can cause scratches.

   • Protect working area.
   • Handle tools and components carefully.

   Following parts of cover must not be damaged or missing.

   Latch mechanisms (1)

   Clamps (2)

   Retaining hook (3)

   First guide in cover 1 with retaining hook 3 in door trim panel, then clip into door trim panel.
