34 41 220 Removing and installing/replacing all parking brake pads
Special tools required:
- 34 4 000 (HEXAGON SOCKET TOOL and ADAPTER )
Installation note:
- Remove REAR BRAKE DISC .
- Release electromechanical parking brake (EMF).
After completing repair work, adjust PARKING BRAKE .
NOTE:
During replacement of the hand brake coverings, the following components must also be replaced:
- Brake shoe expander
- Adjusting screw
- Spring set
Disconnect return springs (1) with brake spring pliers.
Installation note:
Return springs (1) must not be overelongated.
Check return springs (1) and replace if necessary.
Return springs (1) must not be mixed up.
Pay attention to installation position of adjusting screw (2).
Apply a thin coat of grease to bush and screw threads,
NOTE:
Graphic without wheel hub.
Twist roll pins (1) 90° with special tool 34 4 000 (HEXAGON SOCKET TOOL /ADAPTER ) and detach.
Remove brake pads (2).
