51 37 000 Removing and installing/replacing complete rear left or right power window regulator
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove REAR LOWER SECTION OF SIDE TRIM PANEL
- Remove OUTER WEATHER STRIP
Disconnect plug connections at aerial amplifier (1).
Unfasten screws (2).
Release screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 37 4AZ .
Unfasten cable strap (5).
Installation note:
Ensure seal (4) is correctly seated.
Move side window to top end position.
Lever out cover (1) and release screw underneath.
Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ .
Feed out power window regulator completely towards top.
Release cable clip (1).
Disconnect plug connection (2).
Before installation, the basic setting for the power window regulator must be carried out.
After installation, power window regulator/side window must be adjusted to the body.
Replacement:
Release screws (1) and remount retaining bracket (2).
Use special tool 51 0 342 for the following measurement and adjusting procedures.
Adjust distance between retaining bracket (2) and side window (3) to dimension A and B.
Dimension A = 13 mm
Dimension B = 13 mm
Power window regulator basic setting:
Check dimension (X) at power window regulator.
Dimension (X) = 8 mm
If necessary, adjust dimension (X) at screw (1) with special tool 51 2 220 .
Presettings after fitting power window regulator:
Adjust side window (1) to body (2) according to dimension (A and B).
Measuring points in area of B-pillar and at rear end of side window (B).
Measurement (A) = 6 mm
Measurement (B) = 8, 5 mm
Tighten down screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 37 4AZ .
Run a function check.
Adjust SIDE WINDOW glass (1).
