Action in service
Following applies to all other versions:
Check wires and plug connections between the following components:
- Engine control unit.
- Electric fan.
Check cutoff relay of the electric fan.
Check electric fan (setpoint value of resistance between PWM pin and terminal 30 pin with electric fan disconnected: greater than 10 ohms and less than 1 MegaOhm).
Execute function test:
- Clear fault memory.
- Activate the electric fan for at least 2 minutes at 80%.
- If the fault is not logged again: No further measures necessary.
- If the fault is logged again: Replace electric fan.

- If the fault is not logged again: No further measures necessary.
- If the fault is logged again: Replace electric fan.
