12 13 512 Replacing ignition coils (N20 hybrid drive)

IMPORTANT:
Ignition coils must not be contaminated by fuel.
The resistance of the silicone material is reduced significantly by contact with fuel, which may cause the ignition coil to fail!
The silicone tube of the spark plug connector is coated with talc to reduce the pulling forces. The silicone tube must NOT be oiled or greased. This would greatly reduce the durability of the silicone material, which can lead to a failure of the ignition coil.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
Removal:
Feed out acoustic foam (1) towards the top and remove.
Unlock the latch mechanism (1) of the ignition coil and disconnect the connector (2) in direction of arrow.
Pull the ignition coil out toward the top.
NOTE:
There is a possibility that the silicone tube will tear and therefore be destroyed.
This procedure is applicable to all ignition coils.
Installation:
Slide on ignition coil (1) onto spark plug.
Make sure ignition coil (1) is correctly fitted.
Fit connector (2) onto ignition coil in direction of arrow.
Release lock in direction of arrow (1).
Lock (1) must snap audibly into place.
Feed in and install the acoustic foam (1).
