11 00 Mounting Engine On Assembly Stand (S63)

Special tools required: 

WARNING:

Remove engine with hoist and special tool 11 0 020 .

Fit special tool 11 8 930 on engine.

Engine weighs approx. 280 kg.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

- Remove FRONT AXLE WITH ENGINE .

- Remove engine from front axle (if engine is still installed on front axle). See REMOVING ENGINE FROM FRONT AXLE (M6, DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION)  or REMOVING ENGINE FROM FRONT AXLE (M6, MANUAL TRANSMISSION) .

- Clean contact surfaces.

Use special tool 11 8 931 to mount special tool 11 8 932 .

Insert screws (1 and 2).

Tightening torque: 11 11 9AZ .

Use special tool 11 8 931 to mount engine on special tool 00 2 300 .

Tightening torque: 11 11 10AZ
