66 33 008 Removing and installing/replacing park assist control unit

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT STORAGE COMPARTMENT .

NOTE: Only with 24V steering:
Remove TOP COVER FROM TAIL PANEL .

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove auxiliary battery (2) including holder from the work area.

Release plastic nuts (1).

Remove control unit holder (2) from tail panel trim.

Remove park assist control unit (3) from holder (2).

Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.

Replacement:

Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
