66 54 015 Replacing lens cover for night vision camera

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Completely remove NIGHT VISION CAMERA .

Unlock latch mechanisms (1) and unfasten cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Carefully remove sealing ring (1).

IMPORTANT: Adjoining surface of lens must not be damaged when sealing ring is removed!

Installation note:

Replace sealing ring.

Thoroughly clean seal recess (1) with cleaning agent* containing alcohol and cotton bud.

After installation:

Adjust NIGHT VISION CAMERA .
Fill up with washer fluid.
